DISC is the Family Information Service (FIS) for Devon and holds a wide range of information about children's services and registered childcare including Childminders, Creche, Holiday Schemes, Nurseries, Out of School Clubs, Pre-schools/Playgroups and non-registered Parent and Toddler Groups

ParentCentre was set up to help parents to help their child. The website provides information and support for parents on how to help with your child's learning, including advice on choosing a school and finding childcare.
Family Learning opportunities
Family Learning offers a wide range of FREE courses available for families. Courses take place in schools or within the community. They are free, fun and informative. Parents/carers have the chance to find out what their children learn at school, how their children are taught and developed and how they can help.
Heavitree Parent Support Group
We are a group of parents who have children with a range of behavioural, medical and/or educational needs. We meet together about every 4 weeks to share experiences, tips, worries, laughs and coffee! Clich here for future dates and contact details:

Courses
Courses for parents of children aged 0-6, 5's to 15's and for parents of teenagers.
For a number of years at Belmont we have run some courses aimed at helping parents find their own ways of being more effective so they can enjoy their children more. Both Mums and Dads have found these courses a relaxing and enjoyable experience. They've had lots of laughs and made a few friends. The courses are run for 6-8 weeks and sessions last for 2 hours starting at 7.30pm.
