The Devon Association of Governors (DAG)
The Devon Association of Governors (DAG) is the representative body for school governors in Devon. DAG is the association of maintained school Governing Bodies in the Devon Local Authority. It was formed in 1993, and is part of a nationwide network of Governing Bodies through membership of the National Governors’ Association. Find out more here.
The National Governors' Association
The National Governors' Association is the representative body for school governors in England. The NGA works for governors by: Supporting local governor associations and governing bodies; Lobbying ministers and policy makers; Producing high quality guidance and information; Organising events and conferences. Governorline provides free, confidential advice, information and support to School Governors, clerks and individuals involved directly in the governance of maintained schools in England. One-Stop Shop
The School Governors' One-Stop Shop is a small charity which recruits volunteers to become governors in schools across England. SGOSS has won awards for the way it works with volunteers, builds partnerships with employers, manages its finances, and develops its staff.
